Moon Shot.. D7500, Tamron 18-400

Attached is a shot I took just a few minutes ago with the D7500/Tamron 18-400. It was shot at 400mm, ISO 200, F:8, 1/200, manual focus. Though far from perfect this lens is sharper than my Sigma 150-500 and it reaches out almost as far. I'll be trying some more shots over the next few days and work on my technique....

Very nice job. You seem to like this lens a lot. I do want to see more photos with this lens as I'm saving for one myself....Rich

I love your photo! Someone on Facebook is telling me that the Tamron 18-400mm is not ideal for moon photos. Something about the super zoom is soft and doesn't show clear detail at F8, 400mm. I shot this at F7.1, 246mm and cropped photo. I am loving mine.
