I want to purchase a RAW images processing software and would like to get advise from the members of this forum about Lightroom and Capture one pro. Pros and cons of each one. Any information is appreciated.

Why just those two? Many programmes will PP Raw - including your camera manufacturer's free one.
Google free Raw Processors in whatever OS you are using.Check that they accept your camera model number. (they will list it somewhere)

Having done some work on a Raw file you have to convert it to another file type to process it further or print it. That is not an option!!! (yet) Some quickly link to social media - some don't. so think about your own personal needs (workflow) and chose one that meets your personal needs.

Asking which programme is better is like asking 'who is the most beautiful person in the room'. It depends...

I have used both....but went onto Linux and now have lots more to choose from!

I have both and I rely on LRCC & PSCC. I have nothing negative to say about Capture One.

For photo editing Photoshop/Lightroom and for tethering Capture One hands down.

I use Lightroom. It is a good all around solution to image management and raw conversion. But I prefer Capture One's image quality and speed to end result. I wish it had a real catalog and it played nice with plugins.

In my opinion an image is not completed when you are "finished" with editing in either. You still need a pixel based editor to really render a "finished" image. You can use Corel or Photoshop for finishing, and to a lesser degree On1, but On1 is making great strides with their On1 Raw product, which I do use extensively alongside PS.

Lightroom with PS is a complete solution. Lightroom or Capture One alone is not.

I am using both, however Capture One Pro is relegated to only setting the white balance and RAW processing of my Infrared images. LR is very capable and when coupled with Photoshop CC the combo is extremely capable.

Capture One Pro. Fantastic image quality for landscapes. The layer masking is easy and once applied you have access to all of the settings within the masked area.
