She may have caught it, but doesn't look like she's too happy about it, lol. Great shot!

Thank you Treepusher, not really unhappy just not sure....this one's my hardest to catch a smile...always seems to be in thought and serious. I worked at muting shadows with this image....

Thank you very much rlaugh, it was a bit challenging for my skill level and I see where more time needs to be spent but not sure it's that important an image...

I agree Frank I don't think she is sad. I think she is contemplating her future. Nice capture

I think you've captured a great expression, that her and her family will cherish in years to come!!

Thank you rlaugh, the challenge I referred to was more the shadows on her face rather than her expression but I do understand your sentiments....I try to capture expressions as you may have seen from looking at some of my other images and that too is an ongoing challenge in and of itself, part of the trick is to live in the viewfinder as many of them last for only the properly timed trip of the shutter....and to gain an advantage with properly timed shutter trips, use burst mode....

It is hard to determine just what emotion she is portraying. Deep thought? Sadness? Surprise? One thing is for sure, though; the photo does grab your attention. Another success.
