I have a Nikon D610 I also have a Nikon SB600 flash that I used on my D90. I have been receiving conflicting information about using this flash on the D610. Most say it will not work. Others say it will harm the camera. What's a girl to do???
Thank you

I have two SB 600's and I use them on my D610 without any issues.... Here is a link to Nikon's own compatibility chart...

It is a barely comprehensible piece of literature written by hyperactive teenagers who have been off their meds for weeks.

No Nikon brand flash will damage ANY Nikon body simply by mounting and shooting it, that's just pure rubbish!
As for compatibility, the SB-600 is definitely fully compatible with your D610 camera.

Makes one wonder where they get ‘em from - they write as if they actually expect the reader to be literate!

I've used that flash on the D90 and several others up through the D750. Nikon flash on Nikon camera - no problem.
