It's been a wonderful experience walking the woods with you all. You've all posted some terrific compositions of most interesting subjects meeting the challenge, and some have piped in with knowledge to help me learn something new along the way. No guarantees that I'll retain much of it as these old memory receptors never have been wired right, and they're becoming more intermittent each year.
Here's the last of my fungus-among-us. Dane will be by shortly looking for your murals to display.
Thanks for stopping by and posting and thanks for putting up with my slide show.

Really like the contrast of the red shrooms on the Green Moss.

Perhaps the thread topic has to include the word "Challenge"

Found this mushroom on our little island. The name is PHALLUS IMPUDICUS. According to Wikipedia, it is also known as "common stinkhorn" and is known for it's foul odor. It's growth rate has been measured anywhere from 3.9 inches to 5.9 inches per hour. Not knowing what the name of it was, I googled mushrooms that look like a penis. Came right up--the pix that is. :-)
