This morning at my granddaughter's swim lesson, I gave a the d7500/18-400 test run with some pics. I shot some video and noticed that with zoom, camera movement was greatly amplified, though the video itself was very clear. Below are a couple of the pics. These are as-is with no adjustments or cropping. I shot indoors with the aid of the built-in flash. I must say, I Believe I'm going to be very happy with this setup.
I've been wondering how well that lens does considering its enormous zoom range. It looks like it's giving you great results. I have the Tamron 45mm f/1.8 SP VC lens. I've been very impressed with it.
No reason to complain about that set up.
Very nice results.

When traveling recently, I didn't want to be changing lenses all the time. So, I bought a Sigma 18-250. I couldn't be happier. I hope you are as happy with your lens.

Just got the same lens for my D500. Took a couple shots from a long distance of a beat up boat at the Sanford Florida harbor. Transferred to iPhone using Snapbridge.
That enlargement is not enough to show anything & compare it to other cameras on the same shots at least 25X.
If you are happy with the results, that is all that is required.
Very good shots, Motorbones!
I should like to point out that in order to be happy with anything you have to be able to see an improvement in like size enlargements from the old & the new camera to justify the additional investment.
I'm retired, on Social Security, and have tones of money to burn. (wink, wink...nudge,nudge)... Happiness can be a strange bird... Yes, the D7500 takes better pictures than my D5200 did, is more versatile, and is a much cooler looking camera. The Tamron 18-400 has great reach and takes pictures of a quality level I can appreciate and enjoy. The setup,is portable, efficient, and is paid for in full... What else could I ask for? Ken, thanks for the input. When one is 64 years old and retired, things tend to change!!!
