Does anyone think this spider could be a marbled orb weaver? He is very fat. I tried looking at some identification pictures http://www.acloserlookphotography.com/galleries/Spiders/Shamrock/Shamrockspider2.jpg
There were other spiders on the main page but the links keep messing up!!

I was just walking through my pasture looking for seed pods from the butterfly weed plants I had seen during the summer and stumbled across him. His web was next to a yellow and black spider (I think a garden orb weaver)

I know what he would be if I found him. DEAD! ;-) Not a big fan of spiders. For the most part I do leave them alone though. Cheers.

He was out in the pasture, not bothering anyone. He even shared a common stalk of a plant with the other spider for their webs.
