Well done,Vicki!! fantastic poses, and you've composed his very well. Nice, crisp and clean. the background sets him off, I think, nothing to distract the eyes!

Your kind reply is most welcome Carla. White skies are supposed to be a "No, no." Guess I broke the rule with these.

Thanks for taking time to look and comment Sue. The simplicity of these reminded me of some of Audubon's paintings.

You're right! We have a pre-WWII Audubon book and the illustrations are very similar.

As our pears ripen (and rot), many birds come by for a feast. I caught this little guy in action, a Titmouse in a pear tree, although I suspect he was after bugs rather than pears. The gray sky set him off for a different look.

A different look for sure Vicki. I love the shots. They're so sharp and that sky is perfect background. First class shots.

I was just curious Vicki, were these handheld or on a tripod? I'm beginning to think I need a long piece of glass for my cameras.

Well done - was he eating pears or looking for the bugs attracted to the sugar of the ripening fruit?
