Great shot, Johnny! B&W is very effective in this photo! I have dim memories of seeing this type of locomotive pulling trains from when I was little. Very nostalgic!

Very nice capture Johnny! I love the old steamers. Unfortunately, most of them were taken out of service before I came along. It's like a trip back in time, thanks for sharing it.

Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1921.

This Pacific 4-6-2 was built as a passenger locomotive. "She" ran several routes across the U.S. but spent most of her time in Texas. This engine was in service until 1952. This steam engine burned fuel oil, not coal.

Johnny, awesome picture of the vintage steam locomotive. I also enjoyed the historical information provided. Thanks for sharing. Tejaswrangler

This locomotive (a Baldwin Pacific), was very popular in its day, same model as the original poster sent. I had the pleasure of having a surprise birthday party provided by my bride in August 2014. She rented the caboose behind the tender as we went to an antique care show in Quincy outside of Cold Water Michigan.

I apologize for posting this photo. Trying to get administration to remove it.
