Found this hiding under a sweetgum tree and have no idea what it is. Its stem is about 2 feet tall. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a Spider Plant. Had them in my yard in Glennville, GA

Thanks, OR, that was fast. I know I have seen them before but did not know what it was. My wife hates spiders so I will tell her something else.

Or you could go with it's official Latin name Chlorophytum comosum. And you can just tell her it is also often called Airplane Plant, St. Bernard's Lily, Ribbon Plant, and Hen & Chickens. I really hate Spiders too.

Thanks, too bad we don't speak Latin. Wonder how they came up with Hen & Chickens.
