Absolutely spectacular when viewed in download, it has all of the elements of great photo and I hope it will be printed and framed, because it deserves to be.

I thank you very much, cmc65. 100 feet was the closest I have been to an Osprey which gave me more detail in my photograph.

Handheld at equiv 800m @ 1/320?
Shooting between heartbeats eh?
...that is crazy sharp.

This photo should end the debate about the softening effect of the 2x extender.
Clearly technique is probably a higher influencer of good results for long lens photography.

It should end this debate, but there are many naysayers out there that won't give up their 2x extender criticism.
