Bike ID needed

Going through the archives of the photos my buddy sent me a few years ago from one of his tours in the Middle East, I came across this motorcycle.
It's not something I've seen before, and I can't contact him. I've searched for anything similar, and came up with nothing.
I hope that some of the Vets can give me some info on this bike.

There is a name written on the right side directly above the foot pedal but I am unable to make it out.

Thanks Dennis.... I noticed the writing, but even zooming in and trying to enhance it looks like Arabic lettering.
