I'm sure that would be beautiful!! I have 6 hydrangea plants and this year only a handful of flowers.... so disappointing :-(
Apparently they have some beautiful orchids too but it was the wrong time of the year for them. I have quite a few hydrangea plants dotted around the garden and they have done well this year. Sorry about yours, fingers crossed for next year. One thing they do need is lots of water during the dry times!

Next time you plan a return trip, make sure the orchids are in bloom!!!
About my hydrangea... the year before last, my husband cut them all the way down.... so the following year no flowers at all and then we didn't cut them down at all and this year maybe 5 flowers. My son has 5 plants and doesn't do a thing with them and his are so full, with the biggest pom-poms I've ever seen and the individual flowers themselves are so big.... so fingers crossed for next year!!! ...we do water daily.
Have a wonderful weekend, Sylvia!!
