planning on a n Aug 2018 trip ( hope political turmoil in Kenya is settled by then ); planning to spend 3 nights ( 2 full days ) in Masaai Mara ( hoping to catch river crossing ), and, 3 nights ( 2 full days ) in Amboselli NP; anyone think this is enough time; United Airlines, oddly enough, at this point, seems to project the lowest RT fare - anyone have other recommendations, including quality of airline ?

Going to Kenya from 7.11.18 To 7.27.18. Spending 2 nights in Nairobi, 2 nights in Amboseli, 2 nights in Samburu, 1 night in Ol Pejeta, 1 night in Lake Bogoria, 1 night in Lake Nakuru, 4 nights in Masai Mara and 1 night at Giraffe Manor - about 60 miles from Nairobi. This will be our third trip.
2 full days in Amboselli is good enough If you could spend 4 nights in Mara - but at two different camp/place, that could give you a bit more experience of Mara.
If you are not planning to go way up to northern border then you are perfectly OK. Kenya safari is as safe as that could be.
If you could get the booking for one night at Giraffe Manor, please do it. This will be your most memorable day in Kenya. It is bit pricey and you need to book about one year in advance. Google Giraffe Manor and explore.
We have already booked our flights too - with Delta/KLM. United is the cheapest at this time of booking for July 2018 - via Washington DC though.

are you freelancing, or going on a tour? the itinerary sounds familiar; thanks for the info; I know about Giraffe Manor but it is not pricey; it is VERY pricey
