Great set Larry! I've been hearing on the local news that the Anclote river is overflowing its banks pretty severely because of Irma.

Anclote Gulf Park is located on the Florida Gulf coast where the Anclote River empties into the Gulf of Mexico. There is a group of parks close together in the area - this was the only one open. The rest were closed due to damage from Irma.

Here are nine photos - hope you will enjoy viewing them. As always, comments and critiques are welcome.

great series and quite a variety ! the butterfly shots are beautiful, and i love the little warbler and cardinal shots.
enjoyed all the shots, and the black cat shot and caption made me laugh...good job!

We were there early in the morning Sunday while the tide was high. My brother spotted a manatee for an instant but too quick and distant for a shot. There wasn't much activity, but still an enjoyable morning. There were a bunch of snowy and cattle egrets, also a reddish but I wasn't feeling the walk to where they were.

Thanks for looking in and commenting.

Perhaps the end of this week or beginning of next we can get together.

Nice pics! The Grackle is a different bird than a crow or raven. Grackles often have their tail feathers almost vertical during flight. Crows have a straight tail and they rarely and for only short distances glide. Ravens have a wedged tail and definitely glide distances during flight.
