Welcome to Day 180 :) Today it's all about Local Business. Hopefully you can find something that is native only to your area .. Doesn't matter what kind of business it is .. it all counts. Here are a few examples to get us started ... I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Catgirl... you must have insomnia like I do!!! sometimes there's just nothing to do but get up and get intothe computer - that usually gets me sleepy after a couple of hours... Great series....

Catgirl...you need to get outside..I cant imagine the costume you musta had on to fool your sister?

this is as native as it gets...and where I am going this morning to volunteer. It is the Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve which is actually a MUSEUM of the native wildflowers and trees of the area. It is really amazing since the area of the preserve has a wetland by the river, that goes to a meadow and then up a hill to Bowman's Tower allowing a wide variety of things to grow there, over 800 species.
I have an idea for something else today but I have to get going if Im going to get it for ya.

What a great place to volunteer - outdoors and with fun people.... hope you're changing out of that pretty red party dress into something more appropriate for outdoors!!lol

I try to spend as much time as I can in the mountains at camp, so I consider this my neghborhood, too. This is a farm that you can now rent by the week and stay - it is run by the State Park system. The family worked it until the las two sisters passed in the 90's. They used to sell goat cheese - there was a PBS feature on them one year. About 5-6 miles from camp.

That is really cool. I love the mountains and the shot. I'm planning on visiting WV in the fall. I've never been and am told it is really beautiful.

A few from Missouri one for yesterday. I'm sure most people are hot. We are breaking records for the second straight day. 106 if the weather people are right.

Sent my camera off to be looked at, wanted to see how much trade-in I could get. Will be without it for a week or more.
