I wish it would have been a little foggier, but still it was an interesting experience to drive across. You certainly don't want to meet another car on it, or someone is going to have fun backing up.

Thanks Jerry! It makes quite a racket as you drive across it.

Between a tiny town in Illinois (St. Francisville) and Vincennes, In.

That is nice. Kind of like a railroad but it is a wooden "car road" bridge. I'd shudder to think of a traffic bottle-neck like that in California. A place with more than 35,350,000 registered vehicles! That means more than one vehicle per adult!

But yet I know of many places in CA were I can go and be totally alone for many miles!

Oh, you might have been able to exaggerate the fog by having tried a "film" method, put a Blue filter over the lens. You converted to B&W anyway.

Thanks, I was surprised how many cars were using it. At least 4-5 at each end while I went across it.

Something about old bridges fascinates me.I remember as a kid watching prisoners build wooden bridges in the country. I have a friend who was a bridge foreman for UP Railroad building bridges in AR,MO IL,LA and other states. Saw many pictures of his crew and some of the bridges they built. Some are still being used today.

I imagine a lot of history regarding that work, that has been lost or forgotten.
