Great shots. I wonder if the 'nut' in nuthatch is because they are nutty enough to clim down trees head first instead of climbing up like most normal birds do.

Great images Merry, I have one that frequents my feeder, but I haven't gotten a shot of it yet, just watched it bopping down the tree head first.

lol! i've never thought about it like that but by golly i think you're on to something there sirius...lol. i think climbing down a tree head first
