just sitting at the PC working away and looked up to notice this little guy perfectly poised between the shear drapes. grabbed the camera and loaded the battery in time to capture some nice shots of him. not the best, but a nice treat that a good photo op came to me on a day when I could not get out to shoot. I did not even have to get out of my chair. luck helps. : )
Somehow I did not quite get this photo to pop like I'd hoped, even with processing to adjust exposure and contrast / vibrance in Affinity photo. 5d mkII, 70-200 f4, shooting manual @ 1/400 F9, ISO 1000. Histogram looks pretty broad after adjusting for my underexposure. I'm thinking I should have been ISO 100, f16 or so, and adjust shutter as needed? Thoughts?
That doesn't look like a bluebird to me.
Eastern bluebird - perhaps you are thinking blue jay?
Not very blue, but it's good you caught him(?)

Fun sight to see out a window. Good catch dan.
What a treat to see him sitting there posing for you! Good catch, Chris!
Ohhhhhh, that puts things in perspective. Thank you!
