Does anyone out there have any experience with various protectors for the 5D IV screen? I believe there is one that is either glass or plexiglass or something like that. Thanks in advance for any info.

They work very well. Get the self adhesive glass type, unless you have a tilt screen, then get the polymer version.

Can you tell me the source for the adhesive glass version?

I looked at one called the Expert Shield. Looks good, but have any of you used it?

Thanks for link. The price was so low that I ordered one. At worst I am out about $6 and at best I will have what I need.

Gorilla Glass is the leading product. Unlike plastic, it can't be cut, so it has to be the
custom size for your screen. I would try B&H. They have everything. >Alan

I agree on this. I'm using a glass one on both my 1D4 and 5D3. Some may suggest that the LCD is fairly resistant to scratching but I just like to have an additional piece of mind.

I got an optical glass quality one from B&H for my 1Dx MkII for about $25. It is self adhesive and does a great job adding some extra protection. In part the quality you need might be related to the resolution of the LCD and how you use the display.

Best,
Todd Ferguson

I would not own a good quality camera without protection like this.

Agreed! You can also get an iPad screen protector from the Dollar Tree and cut your own to size. You can probably get 3-4 out of one sheet so $.25 cents each. Better than nothing and should fit any budget. I have used this technique on certain things in the past too. Voice of experience...LOL

Bet,

Thanks Todd, think I might do that for my 758.
