XQD cards?

Great day to all of you brilliant witty photographers!
Now we have a newer format card to contend with, the XQD.
Any thoughts on this format?

XQD cards have the transfer rate to keep up with high frame rate cameras like the A9, D850, etc

Seeing as how they are now almost 7 years in use, I cannot consider them "new" at all. They are well proven and wonderfully fast memory cards.
Used in Nikon D4, D4s, D500, and D850........so far. As well as several Sony video cameras.

My Nikon D500 uses them. They have worked flawlessly. My concern is that not many cameras are using the format. Nikon's high end cameras are using them but Canon is going with the CFast card. I hope the XQD format continues.
