This shows the back side of Holyrood Palace and the Abbey ruins in Edinburgh. Just as I took the picture a runner dashed by and since the shutter speed was very low I thought the shot had been ruined. But, the more I look at it the more interesting it seems to be!
Contrast motion to static is nice but the trash bins might be a bit unwelcome. Were it mine and I had an afternoon with time available I would accept the challenge to "take out the trash."

I agree - this is not a good picture. I was pretty new to my 7200 when it was taken and had not yet graduated to full manual where I probably would have had settings with a high enough shutter speed to freeze the jogger. But, having said that, there is something about this picture that keeps me coming back to it. It is probably a good example of "beauty" being in the eye of the beholder.

I need to learn how to photoshop - I also need to read replies more carefully - I thought you were talking about the picture being trashed, not about the trash bins in the background!!
Yep, bummer about the trash cans. But the commentary is kinda cool ... "We are just passing through, but some things last and stand the test of time." At least to some extent.

Husband and I are in the middle of a construction project but I'm going to try to get rid of the bins when he has time to help me. It would sure make it easier if those old buildings didn't use modern bins - the tourists would be a lot happier (just kidding, of course!)

Wherever you go in the UK you will see wheelie bins it's crazy.
