Would have done composition on the first one differently but like the subject. My favorite is the mock rose. Sorry! Is there a name or filter for the color cast in several of your pics? What program do you use? I really like it.

I consider you a true artist no matter what the judges may say. These are beautiful compositions, each and every one of them. I especially like #3 and the last one. Thanks for sharing them with us. Keep up what you are doing despite what others (judges) may say. You know in your own heart what is quality and what is not. You've got quality!

I really think there are many outstanding photographer on UHH. I really have learned and enjoy this group.

I really like the flutist and the one with the tents. I don't believe in photo contests because of the jadedness of judges. I have seen award winning photographs that I thought were absolutely horrible, but the judges loved them. Putting any kind of artistic creation up for judging puts a piece of yourself up for judging as well. By the samples of your talent, you don't need to put yourself up against anyone for prizes.

All I got to say is you have good taste. Those are my two favorites. I took the recorder player on the streets of Istanbul, Turkey and the tent at a Civil War event last July. I have enlarged both of them and have them framed. I guess I will do the same for the mockrose and hang the ribbon from it.
