Start them young ..... always a good idea. I grew up on lakes, but fell in love with the ocean when I joined the Navy. Avid scuba diver and sailor, but never quite mastered the surf board ....... but I was Hell on a boogie board.
Wonderful composition ..... clear foreground, fascinating main subject and focus just trailing off over the horizon - covers all the focal points. But the body language of the youngster is what caught my eye.

If her bathing suit, or her "board", had some bright colors they would might have been a perfect compliment for the beach, ocean, and sky.
