Have not been here in a while as I was seriously ill for a few months. Got very bored last weekend and drove to Summit County Utah and then over to an abandoned town, well sort of. The freeway passed the town so no one goes there except for the few folks that live there and Echo Reservoir for fishing and boating.
Shot with My Nikon D750 kit lens 24-120 f4 hand held on a very overcast day.
The camera cut through the hazy sky which is strange as I was standing there the sky just looked hazy and over cast. Comments are welcome I do read them but cannot always Comment back.
There are some other historic sites toward Wyoming and I will post separately.
Thanks Ron.

The camera did most of the work.
The shot of the church is a great example. Anywhere you see a shadow was jet black in the raw capture.
The camera is set not to blow out the highlights. You can pull detail out of the shadows.
I could not get it right with one go around but Photoshop to the rescue as camera is now a filter and I processed it 3 times just raising the shadows, And there is no noise.

I like the sepia version of the court house and the church building most.

We went there last year and there was activity at the restaurant and I thought there was a realtor with a camera there also, but as you can see still a shamble. There are people living in the motel rooms though.
and also in the garage. If you look in the bay window there is a new truck parked inside and a garbage can outside and TV antenna on the roof.
There is only farm work around there. Thanks for looking.
Cheers Ron.
