I'm on my way out the door with my ringlight now to see if I can't shed more light on the subject. The birds and the dragons have pretty much disappeared; very few blooms in the garden; dogs run off if I point the camera at them; hummers are still around but won't slow down to less than 276mph; spiders are just about my only option.
Good luck with using your light... hope you don't blind them!! I still have flowers in my garden and today went back to the arboretum and couldn't believe my eyes with the amount of dahlias they had!! 220 shots later and now to weed through...
Bugs always cooperate and soon you'll be seeing some fall colors, leaves make pretty subjects if all else fails!!
