This image was captured using the bracketing function of my camera and then converted to a High Dynamic Range (HDR) using Photomatrix Pro. In this image I think it allows us to see the range of colors that existed in the gardens on an early spring night in London.
Taken at the Victoria Embankment Gardens and the statue is General James Outram.
Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20 mm f/4.0-5.6, Exposure 1/125 sec at f6.3, ISO 800, no flash
Since I hardly ever have people in my images I thought I would add one that does contain people taken in the same session as the image above it.

The bottom one is just a wee touch ovedone, to my eyes. Also, your sky suffers from the dreaded, difficult-to-cure "halo" effect.
Outram was a British Army general during the mid 1800s, and was regarded a hero in England after the 1857 Sepoy Rebellion, for his slaughter of Indian troops in Lucknow. But he gets a statue any way.

Jim, thank you for the additional information about Outram. I did post an HDR image with less contrast that will most likely be more in line with your taste.
