luckily it's in our bill of rights to own big-ass muscle-cars... that will never happen on 'murican soil!

The real setback for electric vehicles is simply range and charging time. They outperform gasoline-powered cars and any muscle car freak would be blown away by flooring a Tesla and being pinned to the seat. Believe me, that is an eye opener.
Now don't get me wrong there are other problems like battery disposal and lack of charging stations but that can all be handled if you could pull into an electric filling station and fill up with power in five minutes.
Within 20 years, gasoline powered cars will no longer be needed and if you still want to hear the veroom of a big gasoline engine, there'll be a cd available for your Bose stereo.
