I love reflections of all kinds, and I have an extensive and eclectic collection in my photo archives and thought I'd post a few that I came across while better organizing my Lightroom Catalog.

These 4 were taken at Fisherman's Wharf here in San Francisco and were taken at different times of day, different months, and seasons of the year. That is why you may note some disparity in the shots as color balance, etc.

In the first three, the windows have the appearance of mirrors rather than windows. The colors and contrast are great.

Thanks for your response --- the appearance of being "mirror like" is one of the effects that attracted my attention to that building some time ago.

I love going to the wharf because there is a lot going on there and almost always something of interest to photograph. Beside that, it's a great place for lunch too.

Thank you --- framing myself is sort of like what Alfred Hitchcock would do, make a cameo appearance in every one of his movies.

Having stood in most, if not all of those locations, your post has brought back some very fond memories of clam chowder bowls at Alioto's and wandering the wharf with friends and family.

If what we do as photographers is supposed to evoke some sort of emotion and/or tell a story then you may consider you job complete. Thank you for sharing.

The reflections in all of the photos are great. I like the collection. The only suggestion I would make is to straighten the verticals in the first photo. This is just a 'thing' with me. I had a photo instructor who sort of pounded that into my head and it is still there.

Thank you for pointing it out to me --- I see from the flagpole in the image that it really is askew and not an effect of my diagonal perspective or the fact that most of Fisherman's Wharf uneven and sinking into the bay mud.

Here is the correct image and thanks again for the critique.

Those were the days and I'm not talking about a TV show. He (Alfred Hitchcock) had a long string of wonderful movies.

That he did.... not like the movies and tv shows that are on now, with so many 'fake' reality shows!!
