Being a high official at the Ministry of Mayhem means living on the edge, loads of stress, and often an inability for our Type-A personality Dark Ladies to just sit back, relax and be themselves.

But on rare occasions, the lovely Madame P will take a deep breath, let the world of mischief and mayhem take care of itself for a few minutes, and actually manage to give me a genuine smile.

Thanks, Tikva. If you've seen enough of these, you'll realize she's a deer in the headlights with a camera pointed at her, lol. I generally have to use the Force to get her to relax enough to give me a real smile. In this one, you can see the smile here in her eyes, too.

Thanks, DragonsLady. Last year at this time she was down and out, near death and facing surgery. This year, she's just facing the camera. Not sure which she'd say was worse, lol.

At least I get her to smile now and then, unlike her hospital staff. Her surgeon was very good, highly skilled, but I'm convinced it was all those roses that brought her back to health, not a scalpel. 😉
