Great set of dragons. I wish I did see some.

Thanks, suci. I think you may see them yet. I was only seeing pics of them out of Texas and Florida (except for Docshark who chases them all over the world). I think Harvey and Irma blew them here and now they're on their way there.

Don't be sorry, Sherry. Just keep posting these beautiful dragons and cracking me up with your hilarious captions! Your yard has the magic touch. Meaher Park doesn't have near the variety of dragons.

Thank you, Donna! Today is a sad day - they're gone. Or maybe just hiding - so I'm gonna keep looking for them.

I'm sure they'll be back, Sherry and maybe even bring their kinfolk along too!

Thanks for dropping by and your nice comment! Docshark says the pink one is a male Roseate, is born red and fades with age (so, it's not just me that does that)!

Thanks for looking, merry. I've always loved dragonflies but never really paid any attention to them until I picked up a camera! Photography really changes your entire outlook.

Sherry, these are just great! a fine job for sure. They are quite sharp and great backgrounds. In your first 6 shots the "pink" dragons are male and the tan are female Roseate Skimmers. The last two are Black Saddlebags. First is female and the other is male. Nice job. Sorry I missed these. It's been a tough week. It was the first anniversary of my daughter's death so it was far from my usual routine with the Hog. I'm going to check your other post now.

Thanks so much for your visit and info, Doc. I would have never figured the male and female roseates to even be distant cousins!

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your daughter last year. It hurts to even imagine losing a child. May you find comfort in the memories of the happy times you had with her.
