Fall Foliage --- Lundy's Canyon --- Eastern Siearra Nevada

Lundy's Canyon is located just a few miles north of the town of Lee Vining in the Eastern Sierra and it has several miles of some spectacular scenery, as though one can single out one spot over another in an area which is noted for great scenery. I took these shots last October and thought I'd share them.

Beautiful, I am sure these were taken not this year? It would be very early, I usually go there mid-October.

No, these were taken the first week of October last year,and as you know, timing is everything when it comes to capturing the leaves at their peak color in the Sierra. I happened to hit it just right after some not so great trips in years past.

Thank you for the nice comment. Yes it is a great place to visit for photography there are several steep canyons, lots of lakes, and a multitude of towering peaks along the Sierra Crest in Eastern California for many, many miles.
