Mistakes do happen. Instead of being a bully, could have corrected me.
I have the Tamron 150-600 very pleased with the results for the price of lens. Canon optics are better but you pay a lot more for better quality. with a little practice you can obtain excellent results the the Tamron Lens. At the higher focal lengths you definitely need to use a mono or tripod

Thinking of buying 150-600 lens. Is there a big difference in Tameron and Cannon performance?
Oops, sorry I got your panties in a twist journey, and thank you for the PM regarding my sphincter muscles.

He is just pointing out the misspelling. Cannon should be Canon Tameron should be Tamron. The first correction was gentle humor (or what passes for gentle here) What came after was unnecessary escalation.
Anyway, I have the Sigma 150-600 contemporary and like it very much. A fair number of reviewers like the Tamron more.
Either one should be purchased with the dock accessory. They make fine tuning and updating so much better.

BTW, nice post. I don't think you are the kind of person that likes ANY correction at all. That attitude and education leaves MUCH to be desired.

Easy choice since CANON doesn't make any lens even close to a 150-600mm zoom.

Of the third party lenses, the Tamron G2 and the Sigma Sport are the sharpest, producing image quality nearly comparable to prime lenses. Canon makes an excellent 100-400 II, but not a 150-600.
I looked at the original Tamron, Sigma Contemporary and found them to be too soft. The G2 had not been released when I purchased my Sigma Sport, which does compare to my 600mm F4.

I have the Tamron 150-600 and had no problems and get good sharp pictures.
I've been using Tamron 150-600 with Sony A77 for close to 2.5 years. I am getting sharp images at 600 mm + 2x digital zoom handheld (if the wind is not too strong). Three month ago the lens stopped focusing on nearby objects. The company fixed that in 3 days at their location in Long Island, with no expense for me, not even shipping costs, as somehow I got a 6 years warranty which I do not remember asking or paying for. I am not a professional photographer and this is my first zoom lens of such a caliber so I have no experience with any other. Would buy again.
Have made many spelling mistakes unintentionally. But the real crime is when the Spell Police jump in a with their stupid ignorant responses to an oversight. Get a life and throw that rock away.
Thank you for cooling the sarcasm on this subject. It is disgusting.
