FINALLY : A Little Green Heron

Ive been watching these little guys fly all over the ponds for months, But they are quite small, fast, and stay way out of range for a decent capture with my 100-400. Yesterday took a stroll to the boardwalk next to the river in town and "what to my wondering eyes did appear" but a wonderful landing right next to the ducks. The wind was blowing at quite a clip and I was so excited, some are a bit out of focus, and these are a decent crop, but I can go into the winter months pleased.

Focus is a little soft but your compositions are good; this makes for nice images. Good job.

Great set of images, cmc65. I know just how illusive those little guys are to capture with a camera. I've only had good luck a few times. you really did a nice job.

Nice capture. Glad you were able to finally capture what was on your wish list. Makes the onset of Winter a little easier to take, but only a little.
