This tattered old nest has served as 'home' for doves quite a while. I have a feeling the same pair come back each year to the same nest. Would like to hear from someone more educated in that realm than I am, if the same ones do return annually? These young ones comprise the forth 'batch' they have hatched this season - eight new doves in all.

They will return to a nest annually.
My neighbor cut down a tree in his back yard last year, and, this spring, the pair came back, thoroughly inspected the yard for a while, then went elsewhere.
