2+ weeks ago I took my Photo group to "Wings of Wonder," Oregons largest exotic and native butterfly exhibit and on site rearing lab.
They welcome visitors to celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature. Their exhibit highlights the beauty and fanciful flights of both North American and exotic imported butterflies. They present nature and its interdependency through both exhibit observation and classroom education.

Butterflies can definitely be a challenge in captivity or in the field. Clear sharp pictures are a tradeoff between depth of field and shutter speed. Plus as you get closer the depth of field gets smaller. All three of your images demonstrate the blurring that occurs to our subjects.
