It's interesting you should say that. I just got back from a walk where I do such thinking as I can. I came to the conclusion just today that Ugly Hedgehog in immersed in tribalism, unthinking belief in a medicine man who is imbued with magic powers, and that man is now DJT. But my further conclusion is that absolutely no thinking goes on among the tribe, but only feeling.

For example, I don't remember a single thought, fact or idea from any of your posts--just sarcasm, empty, meaningless questions, and smart-ass remarks, then you run.

Give me some examples if I'm wrong.

On the other hand, I have posted any number of ideas, rife with fact or logic on this site. You, none.

Speaking just off hand, if I exempt Thom and just a couple of others, I would say I haven't seen a thought, fact, or serious idea EVER on this site.

I never see someone as "I hadn't thought of that." Or "That's a good point." Just smart-assed effrontery blended with hostility and verbal violence, with stupidity, confusion, and misinformation.

Your's is the simplest and least dangerous, because you never say anything, just kiss and run.

You get paid for that?

Thom is a thinker, looking for ideas, thinking, seeking answers; easy to see why you resent that.

The difference is this: Thom will grow; you, not.

Sounds like some cool stuff. I hear ya on the killing thing. We were making a small part for the Midgetman missile. Bush the first canceled that program. It ended up with me out of work but that lead directly to medical devices. It's much nicer working on widgets that save lives instead of thermonuclear destruction.

I've had my fair share of interesting projects, most were composite structures. There was the stealth torpedo, bands and mounts for the high atmo Venus weather balloon, universal joints for the space station(MMC), foxhole cover, etc. The composite structures were godawful expensive but, at the time it was $10,000.00/lb to put something into orbit so weight reduction was paramount.

For the most part the medical device stuff is pretty straight forward just a boatload of regulatory. I've done a fair amount of equipment design and implementation, product updates, sterilization, packaging, labeling, pretty much whatever they need done. I'm not designing much anymore. I kind of miss that. It was like being God that first time a machine comes to life.
