I have been a member here for a long time but shooting weddings and also working on the road did not leave much time so sat back, viewed, read and learned. Thanks. Now closer to retirement and slowing down. Weddings now will be only one or two a year. Sold off all my Canon gear and went back to Nikon. No, not the D850 lol. I picked up a D4 with less than 5000 shutter count on it. I like to do HDR and had an 800 but 7 to 9 shot HDR's were coming out noisy and I think it was because of the densely packed pixels. I also like a big body so finding the D4 was a bonus. The cost of the lenses now are the killer......you will see me on here now more often and thanks for the posts as great to get ideas and motivation... The photo I attached is a 7 shot HDR I took at midnight on the way home from shooting a wedding. Did not have my tripod handy so camera resting on the foreground rocks. I was using photomatix for my processing but it was hard to keep the photo natural looking. I have found using Lightroom and then into Photoshop and then back to Lightroom for the finishing touches a much better outcome even if it does take longer.
Hi, Gary... Glad to see you are now in position to participate in forum.
Nice shot.
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forum, great photo; even at midnight on the way home, still got the artist-eye and out to get an amazing shot!
