Probably before McCarthy, how else would McCarthy been able to get so much traction. Idaho used to be a fan of both McCarthy and Murrow. I doubt he even grasped the paradox.

The fact is that the goals stated in the Naked Communist are practically the same as the goals of the progressive democrats. Do you see the irony?

If they were I probably would. I don't automatically change my beliefs just because some persons I consider unsavory agree with me. I don't automatically change my belief when you agree with me. Do you change your viewpoint if you find me agreeing with you?

If you go through any 2 thinking persons beliefs you will likely find points of agreement even if for the most part their beliefs are opposite.

You aren't required to agree with me. I'm not required to agree with you. I believe you don't see things objectively. I'm guessing you may feel the same about me. You can probably find some pretty horrible people who agree with you on some things. It really doesn't affect the value of your ideas.
