This month at the CClub Competition Assigned category is Composite Image. This is combined image of three views of the same woman is my thus-far image. I would appreciate candid critiques and also in need of a short descriptive title that reflects what the image is. The judges count off if the name does not match the image.
The Image is downloadable so if you can come up with a mod image, great do it so we can all learn... learning is what UHH is about.
Thank you Don

Don, I like this very much !!! A job well done for sure. As in a title? Several come to mind. "Three of Us" "I Me Mine" "Think For Yourself" "Within' You Without You" "Hello in There" "Coming Around Again" "Sisters" "Déjà Vu". Hope this helps in some way. I think of these, my personal choice would be "Déjà Vu", but not knowing what theme you were aiming for I could be totally off base. Good luck !!!

Nice one Don, very creative, I like it. For a "critique"... the third face bothers me slightly. It is the largest and thus dominates, which seems a bit incongruous as it is (in theory) the furthest away. Also, the mouth lines up with the middle mouth to form one mother-of-all-mouths and (to me) would look more effective if they could be offset slightly by repositioning. As for title; Facing up? Whatever you do, don't detract from the image by picking a corny title.
I would move the right hand face down a bit to remove the large mouth effect. If you bring it down so that the chin is slightly below the centre chin it will also provide, in my opinion, a pleasing downward slope from left to right.
PaulG and Amersfoort gee, The right hand face was not that way until you mentioned it ... Now I see it!! Yep... Thank you....
Dave thank you for the name suggestions... still sipping coffee... will contemplate them when fully awake.
I still have time to redo.. if not blow away by Irma... I recall what Miami looked like after Andrew hit. There is a chance that Irma may hook in the gulf and hit Tampa... at this point not sure if I will run and hide or just hide in place. Going to Wmrt to get water and a few pop-open cans of food.

PaulG has said most of what I was thinking..I would add the upper left eye seems rather dark but might not really matter.

I plan to re do and will widen the canvas before cloning the faces over also make sure heads are same size. Better that you guys find flaws than the judges.

I forgot to add that I like your concept here...well thought out dpullum...
I think the critique part has been pretty well covered. As for the title you may want to consider, Me Myself and I
The added texture isn't very flattering. If the judges are all male you may not have a problem, but women are definitely more sensitive to unflattering effects and are more likely to see it as a negative.
The three faces seem to reflect different moods - optimism, level-headedness and possibly pessimism. The title "Collide-o-scope" points to the conflicting moods of the different faces (but might be a bit high on the corn factor
).
Rg, I like your suggestions on naming the moods... "Optimistic, Level Headed, Pessimistic" ... simple statement and matches the face direction. I will add a womans name Rhoda so that the judges know it is the same woman x3.
Don,
I really like this. I'm reminded of Andy Warhol. Really a very interesting image.
In addition to the lips I suggest you do a little something with the collar: kind of a two headed effect going on there.
If you really want to get artsy farts with a title, how about "The Moirae". The 3 Ancient Greek goddesses of fate.
Best of luck with looming storm.
Don, I'm with Paul and amersfoort on the third, or rightmost face. How about "3 Ways to Sunday".

Hi Don,
As far as a critique is concerned, the necks of the first two faces coming out of the same collar is disconcerting. Even if it were intentional, I don't think a judge will like that. Also (mentioned above)the mouth of the second and third faces converge and are visually awkward. Considering that you have time to redo, this should not be too difficult to alter. I think the pp is somewhat unflattering; but I don't feel that flattery is what you had in mind. I think it is quite good. The title is a tough one. Personally, I don't think a photo should be judged by its title; but the judges do usually take titles into consideration. "Three faces of _____", "Mood Swing", "Jazz, Rock, Blues", Sorry, I'm really not good at titles.
Erich
Hi Don. Since you asked....When i looked, i thought head one and head two were coming out of the same collar opening,???? i am sure that is not what you meant... Great idea. M.
