And now for something completely different, welcome to my world ... this is a photo I shot during the soundcheck for Keith Urban's album pre-release party for "FUSE" with Eric Church at Cumberland Park in Nashville. It was sponsored by Dodge Ram Concert Series and Yahoo! Music.

This is the image to be edited this week. I ask that you complete your edits by Thursday evening at 9pm. You can post them in this thread and then on Thursday evening we will begin the voting.

Thank you all for participating again this week. Hope that everyone has fun with this image.

Here's my take on the shot. The musicians and crew recording them for me are the important elements.

Thanks Don, I was trying to add the light beams down from above. If it would have been a bit darker outside I think I could have pulled it off better. A tricky photo to work with. Thanks for posting.

Don, Thank you for providing such a challenging image for us to work on. I admire the way you can work with layers and brushes and produce such stunning works. I decided I would try some layering myself. I wanted to create a spotlight effect using masks and layers. This is way out of my comfort zone; but that is how you learn I suppose. This is what I came up with.

That's a fine job, don't sell yourself short. These types of shot are out of a lot of folks comfort zone simply because it's a shot most people don't have access to. I think these kinds of pics are what make for a good challenge.

I could see what you were doing with the lights. You are correct, it is hard with the harsh light. There is a technique you can use if you work in Photoshop to help with darkening the image.

Definitely not a "normal" shot. So who's to say what "normalised" would look like .
