My wife and I recently spent 2 months in Alaska. One of the high lights was a three day trip to Brooks falls.
Well done! You are so lucky. Nature at it's best!

Excellent shots...well done.
Great captures. Where did you fly from in getting to Brooks Falls. We've spent a week on Kodiak Isl and have a yearning to go back once more.
I jealous! My wife and I just spent two weeks in Alaska and took a day trip to Brooks Falls. Spent 5 hours there, with two hours on the lower platform, and the obligatory 1 hour on the upper. Saw a lot of bears at the falls and elsewhere when there, but nothing like this. Salmon were running, and bears where on tip of the falls, but they seemed disinterested in the fishes and no opportunity for the iconic shot.
Neverthe less got some great pics, but nothing like this.
Just take number 1, blow it up, and put it on the wall! Great exposure, composition, and you'll likely never get as good a "pose" again. Just spectacular.
And did I say I'm jealous?

Excellent captures! I am so envious... Love the two standing, they look like younger grizzly's.
When we visited Katmai NP in 2014, the salmon were not running. Our visit was to the coast of Katmai. Katmai is at the top of my 'want to visit again list'. I think it is the most awesome, beautiful place there is! I tried to go again in January of this year, but no pilots would fly there in the winter, due to winds I tell everyone to put Katmai at the top of their list, and Kenai Fjords, 2nd.

Dear Choward, both shots are very interesting and are keepers!
We flew from Anchorage to King Salmon, then took a float plane from King Salmon to Brooks Falls. You can do day trips although depending on weather you may not have much of a day there. If you want to stay over you need to book about 18 months in advance of your trip. My wife got up at 2 AM mountain time on Jan. 1, 2016 to send an email time stamped at 12 Alaska time. We were fortunate to get a 3 night reservation for our trip the end of July 2017.
