Your opinion on these two options for image

I am not a big fan of post processing and don't do much except minor tweaking. This is an exception,
where I colorized the original. Would like UHHers opinion on which they prefer as an addition to my portfolio.

They are both nice. I would think it would depend on you intent for presentation. My personal preference is the first one, as it is much more like what I'm accustomed to seeing in real life. The second would be very good for a variety of illustrations.

I agree with rmalarz.
The first is more realistic, color wise, while the second has an antique feel about it.

The first is quite obviously a color photograph. The second looks more like a black-and-white photo that has been treated with sepia tone. Each works, depending on the usage...

The gold one was made directly from the color image with a Paintshop Pro "Colorize" filter I didn't even know I had before this.

I like the second one. It seems to fit the subject material to give it that antique treatment.
