The first photo is camera distance to subject for scale just trying my hand at night time photos working above my skill level. These photos were taken with a 60d and a 24-105 lens tripod mirror lock up and shutter release the darker it gets the more difficult it becomes to lock focus i think i should of locked focus in manual while i still had some light available. As always just trying to do better here in Pittsburgh. Thanks for looking saying hello from Pittsburgh.

They're all nice. Just crop out that magenta band out of the first image.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. The first photo was just for showing camera to subject distance no really part of this post. Thank you again saying hello from Pittsburgh.

I think you did well. The last shot keeps the moon from blasting out. Nice work!

Beautiful! I always love the night-time view of the city when emerging from the tunnel.

Looks like you had a little more light to work with in the first one. Great looking shots of the city. The lights around the fountain look great.

Very nice group of photos. I will be there on Thursday for a couple of days but doubt I will have any time for photography. A shame. Eventually I will be there and will finally be able to meet you for a cup of coffee and maybe some photography.

Hey Joe, Did you shoot the first picture from the West End Overlook? That is the West End Bridge there in the foreground. To get there, did you go up Lorenz Ave past the cemetery and to the right onto Went End Overlook? It's been a number of years since I was there. Lived in Elliot for a bunch of years before moving to Westwood a looong tome ago. Saying hi to a Pittsburger -- Iron City forever!
