Better not tell that to Anheuser Busch. They have a brewery in Los Angeles and several other cities. I don't think you can get any Europeans to drink a Bud Light.

As most Europeans and many Americans know; American beer is about a tiny step above drinking urine and light beer is even a step to the step to worse again and I'll tell that to an executive of Budweiser to his or her face. Real beer drinkers drink the medium to dark beers that have flavor to them that are only available as imports or from the many micro breweries around the country.

Europeans are just pissed off because we (California) now makes more award winning wines than they do! Just bring their appellations here and we'll do the rest.

New York State makes great wines too. Seems the best come from southern France, New York and California. So maybe we have them beat in wine but we haven't got a clue over here what is good beer.

In the aftermath of the 1989 earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Budweiser plant in Fairfield also provided canned water. They didn't sell it, but rather left stacks of them on street corners. Very generous.

Yes, it cost them for the cans and it got their name out there.
Just my first thought.

I don't mean to be faulting them.
It's just an observation that came into my mind when I first saw that too.

Your wrong. To label anything light, according to FDA, it has to have half the calories of the original.
