Tiny succulents

Walking in the Marin Headlands last weekend, I saw hundreds of these tiny succulents, often clinging to the sides of cliffs. The ones in this photo are about an inch across:

Great photo, ht. So well defined. As tiny as it is, I would probably just walk right past and never see. Thanks for showing it to me through your lens and reminding me that I need to open my eyes to all of nature's beauty.

Wow. Thanks for the compliment STVest. In truth, it was hard to miss 'em once you spotted 'em. It was just a matter of finding some that didn't require hanging off the cliff edge to photograph.

Glad you chose this site! Thanks for sharing some of your native fauna with us...don't believe I've ever seen any native succulents in my area.
