I've got Pentax kit as well. The lens mount is unchanged in shape from the ME and Super A days, so the lenses will fit the new Pentax DSLRs. The film plane may not be in the same position as the digital sensor, so there may be an issue with older autofocus lenses, but all the manual focus lenses should be fine.

Sensor is exactly same distance film plane was {to nearest 1/100-th mm at least} so focusing today is no more tricky than it ever was.

Too late for me to edit this response, so I'll post this addendum instead.

Focusing with manual lenses seems to be a subject that leads to lots of discussion. I have always used a fairly "comfortable" DOF {f-stop f/5.6 or more} when possible, so focusing tends not to be much of an issue for me. However, those who are very much enamored with subject isolation either curse or praise manual focusing. If they are using a tripod and an EVF or LiveView, they can see exactly what they are getting, and that is very good. If no tripod and focus confirmation doesn't work for them, not so much.

I have a Pentax k-50 and use older lenses. I had an auto-focus lens that came with a semi-auto Pentax that was a service anniversary gift from work. That camera was not used very much, but I still have it.

As a lot of people has said here all k-mount lenses works fine on Pentax full frame and aps-c bodies and m42 lenses works with an adapter. Shake reduction works with all lenses regardless their age. With manual focus lenses you can set the body to auto focus, push the trigger down, turn the focus ring on the lens and the camera will take the picture when the center focus point is in focus. Usually I continue to turn the focusing ring a little further and then turn it back and get two pictures taken, one from both sides of focus. And if you have the Pentax 1.7x AF adapter you´ll get autofocus with all manual focused lenses.

This feature is called "catch in focus". The other use is "catching" a moving target, say a bicyclist riding towards you; you set focus and camera takes the picture when the bicyclist rides into the area of focus.
