A couple years ago we took a China cruise. We were going down the Yangtze River, passing mile after mile of dull, insipid, scenery when, out of nowhere, this structure appeared. Fortunately I was on deck with my camera because there was no announcement of it. And after a few minutes, it was gone.

You might want to apply for a refund from your travel agent! Great shot!

Nice photo, Voss. Black and white would have killed this one.

Thanks, Bob. I would if I could. Would not recommend this cruise to anyone.

Thanks, jaymatt. Yes, it has to be in color.

Very nice shot, and great timing! I have been on river cruises and know how quickly the shots disappear. This one works nicely in color.

Perfect title--the red dress makes a good shot great. I really admire your photography.

Thanks, Steve. In a way, things seem to move faster on a cruise.

Thank you, Rab-Eye. Without it, I don't think there's really a picture there.

Often the advice: "f./8 and be there" results in the best images! Great shot.

I check your posting daily. In my opinion, this one is your best. Well Done.

I agree totally!

This image has vastly more complexity than the average Voss shot, never mind those from the rest of us. It is not urban, not on a 5th Avenue corner, and not even on a street. On top of that is an exquisite
layer of perfectly done color (a hugely complex compositional component to get right).

That is one awe inspiring image!
