I have my (996) pics from the ecslipse using time lapse. Now I want to edit them. Someone suggesting a star stacking app. problem is ,there are no stars . I would like to try and make a time lapse movie. any suggestions? My pics are not professional...AT ALL. but, I am happy with them.

Very nice eclipse time lapse image!!! On your question, I think a "star stacking" program usually will stack planet images or probably the moon so it might be worth looking into one. These wouldn't have any star images on them usually.

Exactly what do you want to accomplish other than making a time lapse movie? {if those are all the images you have, I'm not sure you have enough images to do that, but I'm not an expert, nor do I play one on TV, nor have I recently stayed at a Holiday Inn Express}

In astronomy movies are made of asteroids and other things and a quick introduction to the method is found in Iris tutorials that may be worth your looking at for ideas...

Maybe all you need to do is search on the term <how do you make an animated gif> on google.com, etc.

This might be all you need?

I use Freemake. It's free, and you can set it up to blend from one image to the next, and adjust how long each shot stays on the screen.

You did good! I would suggest composing your sequence diagonally across the frame.

Also take the tinge of blue out of some images or change it to yellow-orange.

If you want to make a giff I suggest "ezgif.com" one of the easiest and most powerful online gif makers.

If several of the pictures are essentially the same.. you might try playing with" Microsoft ICE"
IMAGE COMPOSIT. EDITOR.

(ITS typically for creating panoramas but it stitches images together) and it's free.

Search on google for VirtualDub and download. Try VirtualDub.exe to combine all images into a video, it does not use any compression so the file size may be large!
