I will find it and post it later. I took Kodak Brownie photos here in 1954. We came upon a Cessna that had crashed trying to clear the summit tundra. We found the pilot's eyeglasses and took them to the police in Red Lodge. He was recovering. Then on the way down, Dad ran off the road and bent the rear wheel well on our 1950 Mercury. Lucky it was the "good" side of the highway.

My Dad worked in the Park during the Depression, and his sister was a cook for workers at North Gate-Gardiner.

Thanks for promoting the Beartooth Highway. It is a special place for sure. Your images turned out great.

Thank you Dennis for coming along. It is my pleasure to be able to promote the beautiful places our country has to offer. I don't have the ability to travel outside the United States but I will get out to as many places here as I can and I am so happy to share them. Everywhere I went in Montana was amazing but the Beartooth Highway really was special. It took my breath away.

Thank you bkebbe for your wonderful memories of Beartooth Pass. I am sure it was an exciting trip and I would be very interested in seeing what it looked like at the time. If you would like to post an image or two here I would not mind.

Thank you David. I am so glad you liked these. That tree just called out to me and I was so happy the images came out so well.
